Understanding My Place In Ministry (MIN 101)

Self- discovery is a key developmental element for all believers. This course will help students to realize that God has created each of us with unique personality, spiritual gifts and abilities, passions and experiences. Discovering God’s purpose and plan for their life, and the ways in which God has gifted them will help students to identify their place of service within the Body of Christ. This course seeks to foster a servant’s heart, and reinforce that our greatest call is to serve the Kingdom by serving others.

 Introduction to Biblical Pneumatology (BIB215)

Biblical Pneumatology is a doctrinal discussion of the Holy Spirit that naturally follows from the introductory class Biblical Pneumatology. In this course, we will delve into The Holy Spirit in the Old Testament: The Holy Spirit in Relation to Christ; The Work of the Holy Spirit in Salvation, and The Holy Spirit in the Tribulation and in the Millennium.

Ascension Gifts of Christ (BIB 105)

According to Ephesians 4:11-13, the ascension gift ministries were given by Christ to the church so that proper church growth and development would occur. Each of these ministry gifts plays an essential part in this development. For mature, well-balanced Christians to be produced, all five ministries must touch the individual. This course is a study of the Ascension gift ministries and how God uses them according to His will, through Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Spirit to as gifts to His church.

 The Contemporary Deacon (MIN203)

The deacon is described as “a minister of Word, Altar, Charity and Justice.” An awareness of the Church’s doctrine on the Order of Deacon. Knowledge of the various forms of the Diaconate throughout history. The shape of the Diaconate for the contemporary Church and the modern world.

 Transformational Communication (COM 101)

This course is designed to study the process of developing public speaking skills. The course incorporates the components of interpersonal communication.

Ordinances of the Church (ECC 205)

There are two ordinances that Jesus Christ has instituted and established for His Church. All too often participants and observers perform their roles with a tremendous sense of the tradition, absent a clear understanding of its meaning. This course examines the history, purpose, relevance, format, and
ministerial preparedness of the ordinances of Baptism and The Lord’s Supper. Furthermore, a general examination of the most common Christian ceremonies and ecclesiastical protocols will provide a foundation for their preparation and proper execution.
